GAMBAS PIL PIL
Serves 4-6 for tapas. Ready in 15 minutes.
A Tavoli Tapas favourite! Oven baked prawns with smoky paprika, chilli and garlic. This recipe comes together in under 15 minutes and is the perfect crowd pleaser so it’s perfect for when you’re feeding a crowd.
Serve this alongside some toasted bread to soak up all of the delicious spicy sauce that will be left in the dish once the prawns are gone.
INGREDIENTS
180g Raw, jumbo prawns (You can use either frozen/ defrosted or fresh)
Olive oil
3 Garlic cloves, sliced
1 Small red chilli, sliced
1/2 tspn sweet, smoked paprika
Fresh parsley to serve
Lemon wedges to serve
Salt & pepper
METHOD
Heat the oven to 200 degrees (fan).
Ensure your prawns are de-veined, rinsed with cold water and dried.
Drizzle some oil into a ceramic oven dish. Add the garlic and chilli and coat them in the oil.
Heat the oven dish in the oven for 5 minutes to soften the garlic and chilli.
Remove the dish from the oven, add the prawns, season them with salt, pepper and the paprika.
Return the dish to the oven and cook for another 5-10 minutes or so until the prawns turn pink and are cooked.
Remove from the oven and serve with fresh parsley and a squeeze of lemon juice. Enjoy hot.
